Here is a big unique, 10 yr old, coal black & white Paint solid ranch cow horse & rock pounding trail horse, we call "Magpie". This gelding is a Magic Carpet ride!... He single foots! and can flat walk out and cover the country effortlessly. Handy broke for using, light neck rein, tries hard and "Magpie" can get to the top of the mountain and back before dusk! One of a kind in looks and travel-ability in tough country. Been ranch roped, branded and sorted on plenty. Reliable, all business, loves purpose, one-person type, and quick to cattle, lots of go, but just as soon hit a mountain "goat path" and truck to the back country for you. We've had Magpie over a year and he's been Beverly's fun, "go to", dependable all-arounder coming off 2 years on a big WY cattle ranch, tripping cattle for doctoring. Magpie showed competitively this last summer in an Extreme Trail Challenge with little prep and did great. Jumps in, easy to haul and stands quietly while horse camping. He's one strong individual, handles our canyon country and AZ rocky desert mountains with enthusiasm and will make anyone a fine mount for using or pleasure riding.
