Wow! Another year has come and gone! I turned 50--that was a biggie--Wil turned 70, and I got a new dog! Life is good! Let us not forget the simplicity of that statement or let that thought get lost in the hurriedness of life altogether...remember the Reason for this Season.
I wanted to Wish you all a Merry Christmas and hope you get a chance to spend some time with your horse this holiday season, bundling up in your Carhart coveralls to go out and even take a ride bareback in the snow. There is nothing like it, warm and quiet as the blanket of snow muffles the sounds and all you hear and feel is your horse breathing and moving beneath you. Even it's just in the round pen or out across the meadow pasture, treat yourself...but maybe warm him up first! Know your horse...Know thyself...Know your capabilities. Be safe, but be adventurous too! If you aren't there yet, come see me again this winter in Arizona!
In 2012, I'm again offering my Ladies class in two levels: a Ladies Only-Practical Horsemanship Course for beginner to intermediate riders, and a New! Cowgirls Only- Progressive Performance Horsemanship Course for intermediate to advanced riders. My Ladies Only is February 24-27, cut back to a four-day class and limiting it, but you have the option of staying on longer by the day. The focus is on communication, confidence, and leadership-building horsemanship & riding skills...and fun! This still is my most "in demand" class, because we get results!
The New! Cowgirls Only Progressive Performance Horsemanship class, scheduled for March 12-16, will be a more "in the saddle" class, with focus on the WHR training and tuning aspects of both horsemanship skills and one's horse for performance events. We'll play with cattle, do Cowboy Dressage, Trail Challenges, and have plenty of girlfriend fun!
These two formats allow a more diverse group of riders to take advantage of my insights, and gives students another class to step up to when they feel ready. I look forward to the opportunity to push my gals along so they can achieve more with their horses and equine activities, and sharpen those active horsewomen seeking true refinement no matter what their discipline, event, or recreation with horses. In this new class, you'll "step up" and take a deep stirrup for the ride, achieving like never before. Remember, there are BIG discounts if you are a Repeat Return Rider!
Go online for more details and payment schedule...by the way, the Pre-Pay and Return Rider discount deadlines are waived to recipients of this e-mail thru the holidays. Act fast, as spaces are filling! Both of these classes are also offered at the Oregon Home Ranch in late June as well; watch for dates.
