Very very cute and smooth riding, Poco is great for casual outside riding and at trail obstacles. He has had all the arena reining & cow horse training in his early years, but now just prefers to mosey down the road for a pleasure ride. Perfect for a smaller person or kid. He's not suited for arena work anymore, but still enjoys playing with cows occasionally and trail challenge obstacles.
Poco comes from great cow horse bloodlines of Smart Little Lena, Docs Hickory, and Bueno Chex. We sold him four years ago to a good client of ours for his nine-year-old son who is now 13 and stepping up to more horse. Poco helped the boy learn to ride and built his confidence. They trail rode him all over New Mexico and down the neighborhood roads on the irrigation ditch banks. Poco is very broke, well trained, and utterly bomb proof, which is hard to say about any horse. He'll teach a rider to be assertive, as he requires leadership and having his butt popped with the end of the reins once in a while, being harmlessly testy at times. But for just cruising around and easy trail stuff, there isn't a better or safer horse. We are looking for just the right home for him where he can be appreciated and utilized. The insurance of his reliability alone is huge!
